HALL HISTORY
In 1953, in _____what state?_____, RD Hall and wife, Irene, turned their idea f or adventure and “comfort camping” into reality by creating the first camper with a hard top that raised and lowered. A fresh startup with attitude! A go anywhere kind of deal. The Halls traveled to Alaska first in __19___, with their new Alaskan atop their 19_____ ___(Make of)__truck, along the Alcan Highway to (destination?) They testing their invention in extreme conditions: the roughest roads, coldest nights, and mostest bugs.....LOTS of bugs. Services were few and far between, but the results were outstandingly successful.
WHEAT’S ALASKANS.
In 1989, Don Wheat purchased Alaskan Campers from Irene Hall, and has continued the successful development of this company. Since 1953, more than (# of) campers have loaded their Alaskan on their favored pick up truck and wandered to the ends of the earth and back.

In 2002 Don opened a new manufacturing plant in Winslow, Arizona. Bryan Wheat, Don’s son took over complete management of the Chehalis facility.
